Full Victory, Nothing Else

“Full victory, nothing else.”

These are the words prominently displayed on the Stoneridge Group conference room wall next to a picture of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the man responsible for the single greatest military campaign in world history.

These are the words that define our company; our number one goal for every client, every campaign, is To Win.

And on Election Day, SRG clients across the country – from state legislatures to the U.S. Senate to the Governor’s mansion – Won.

In our home state of Georgia, incumbent Governor Nathan Deal faced a spirited opponent in Jason Carter, a Democratic State Senator and grandson of former President Jimmy Carter. Despite polling showing a tough race, SRG stuck to our plan of a robust digital and direct mail campaign. We successfully turned out our base Republican voters while swaying independents into Deal’s column. When it was all said and done, it wasn’t even close. Deal won by 8% and over 200,000 votes.

Similarly, in North Carolina, Republican Thom Tillis was faced with poll after poll showing him trailing incumbent Senator Kay Hagan. But SRG was able to execute an effective digital strategy on behalf of Tillis, building a website that earned national attention and growing his social media presence and online fundraising. When the dust settled, Tillis had shocked politicos across the country, winning by nearly 50,000 votes.

In Alabama, SRG was able to capitalize in a state where the digital ad and pre-roll isn’t nearly as competitive, assisting Governor Robert Bentley’s re-election bid on a wide-range scale. Thanks to our coordinated social media and online ad campaign, Governor Bentley was able to reach a margin of victory unseen in over 30 years, defeating his Democratic opponent by 27 points.

And in Kentucky, SRG client and first-term Congressman Andy Barr faced a tough re-election challenge from former Disney executive and current education activist Elisabeth Jensen. SRG was able to assist Barr in implementing a substantial direct mail and social media campaign. The result? Barr cruised to re-election, garnering nearly 60% of the vote.

These are just a few of our biggest victories from Tuesday, but by no means an exhaustive list. There were also state legislators, judges, county commissioners, and ballot initiatives, just to name a few.

At SRG, our only goal is to win. And on Election Day, our clients won.
