When Congressional redistricting took place after the 2020 Census, some states were forced to draw incumbent members of Congress into the same district. When this occurred in West Virginia, Club For Growth was faced with losing a key ally in Washington to a member-on-member Primary. That’s why they turned to Stoneridge Group.

Using compelling design and voter targeting, we contrasted two sitting members of Congress with more than a dozen direct mail pieces to highlight Alex Mooney as the clear conservative choice. On Election Night, Congressman Mooney won with a 20-point margin and Club For Growth kept one of their strongest allies.

When you need to catch the attention of voters in a saturated election cycle, eye-catching and visually compelling designs stand out and make your campaign memorable.
Many campaigns are afraid of contrast mail, fearing voters will view it as negative. But, when done correctly, contrast mail highlights candidates and gives voters a clearer choice. And, like with a member-on-member race, it can elevate the right candidate to high-margin victory.
